FreeBlade is designed to be used as part of your standard training program. This includes throw downs in the nets to shadow batting in the comfort of your own home.

We’ve made every effort to ensure the padding and material used for the weight protection prevents damage. We recommend training with FreeBlade on a spare bat if facing fast bowling as it may cause minor indents. Excessive and vigorous use can result in minor scuffing on the rear of your bat if used under extreme conditions.

The FreeBlade standard purchase comes with 2 x 75g weights which adds a combined total of 150g to your bat. This bundle is best suited for top-hand training and junior cricket players under the age of 16. This bundle is the recommended starting weight before progressing to heavier weights (just like using dumbells at the gym).

For cricketers over the age of 16 or adults wanting to train their hook and cut shots, we recommend purchasing the additional weight sets in 125g or 250g pairs.

We want you to swing as hard as you can and while FreeBlade fits securely to your bat. The strap is recommended to be used every time you use FreeBlade to ensure the weights remain secure and to avoid injury.

The adjustable strap also allows you to move the harness up and down the bat face to change the positioning of the weight when training different shots.
